BS Accounting and Financial Technology is a four-year program designed to blend traditional accounting and finance principles with cutting-edge financial technologies. The program focuses on the digital transformation of accounting and finance, introducing students to tech-based accounting, accounting information systems, ERP, blockchain, AI in accounting and finance, digital payment systems, data analytics, and cybersecurity in financial contexts. In addition to technical knowledge, the program hones communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills vital for the evolving financial landscape. Students undertake a broad range of courses in financial and management accounting, digital accounting and finance, business analytics, financial modelling, financial regulations, and economics. The curriculum also includes technology applications such as ERP systems, Python for finance, cloud accounting, and regulatory technologies (RegTech). Through hands-on projects, real-time data simulations, internships, and industry interaction, students gain practical exposure and career-readiness. The program promotes character building and social responsibility through internships and engagement with financial inclusion projects. After two years of successful study, students have the option to exit with an Associate Degree in Accounting & Financial Technology.

The goals of the four-year BS degree program are:

  • To provide comprehensive knowledge in accounting, finance, and modern technologies through theoretical and practical learning.
  • To integrate computer technologies, data analytics, and FinTech tools into accounting and financial decision-making.
  • To enable students to assess and address contemporary challenges and innovations in the accounting and financial technology sector.
  • To empower students with the ability to evaluate costs, benefits, and strategic implications using modern tech-based accounting and financial tools.
  • To develop an understanding of financial reporting standards, GAAP, regulatory frameworks, and ethical standards within a technology-driven financial environment.

The program: The curriculum provides:

  • Establishes a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and financial technologies.
  • Prepares students to specialize in FinTech-enabled roles across accounting, auditing, risk, investment, and banking sectors.
  • Enhances students’ ability to independently manage and analyze financial data using digital tools.
  • Broadens the academic and professional horizon, encouraging further study in accounting and finance, data analytics, and information systems.
  • Prepares students for global certifications like ACCA, CFA, CA, CIMA, as well as FinTech and data science certifications (e.g., SAS, Tableau, Python).
  • Exemption of 4 ACCA papers (F1-F4), and coverage of 11 out of 14 ACCA papers including professional-level topics.
  • Structured preparation for CFA Level-I, incorporating all required modules and financial analytical skills.
  • Integration of modules covering 12 out of 20 papers of CA, and 17 out of 21 papers of CMA.
  • Full coverage of PIPFA program requirements.
  • Inclusion of FinTech tools and platforms used in the financial industry (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials, blockchain applications).

  • Any other grade 12 qualification approved by the Ministry of Education
  • Minimum eligibility requires 45% marks or equivalent in intermediate or equivalent qualification.
