Faisal Munir is an Assistant Professor at GIFT Business School. He has a diverse academic and industrial background. After completing BSc, he started his own business. After a while, he realized that he had to continue his education and took admission in professional education, Cost and Management Accountant. Then he got a job at a financial institution. After a year and a half, his company founded its own software house and gave him the responsibility to manage and develop software for the company. He hired a team and made himself a part of it and started learning about the world of software. He documented various business processes and developed a complete accounting information system on paper. This journey was completed with the development of an ERP solution. He and his team developed different software for various sister’s concerns, including GIFT University.
His group entered the education sector in early 2002 and transferred him to GIFT university in 2003. While performing these various roles, he started his financial education through a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is currently a CFA Level 3 candidate. while doing CFA, he completed his MS in Banking and Finance from COMSATS University. At GIFT he held various positions, including HoD Accounting and Finance, Registrar, and Assistant Professor. He is currently the Director’s academic operations at GIFT and a financial advisor for a group of companies.
